Toronto debut

Sean Chen was born in 1988 in Florida and, after Juilliard, is now studying at Yale. The 27 year old American won third prize at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2013, and was also awarded the Christel DeHaan Classical Fellowship of the American Pianists Association. He was named a 2015 fellow by the prestigious Leonore Annenberg Fellowship Fund for the Performing Arts, the only one of 5 to win for 2 years; he plans to use the funds to buy a piano and audio and computer equipment. He will be traveling across the United States for orchestral engagements, solo and chamber recitals.

He clearly has the flash, substance, looks and hair to have a significant career. . The Boston Musical Intelligencer
