Toronto debut

Formed in 2011, the Castalian Quartet studied with Oliver Wille (Kuss Quartet) at the Hannover University of Music, Drama and Media, graduating with a Master’s degree. They have performed widely throughout Europe and the UK, made a first tour of North American in 2018-19, and will debut at Carnegie Hall in 2020. Their most recent award is the Royal Philharmonic Society (UK) Young Artist Award, sometimes called the classical Oscars. The Castalian is known for capturing the art of conversation in string quartet music.
